SAY NO TO SINGLE-USE IN WASHOE COUNTY

Tell the Board of Supervisors to Vote YES on Month Date

The City of Reno Board of Supervisors will be voting on a proposed ordinance to bring ‘Skip The Stuff” and Reusables to foodservice in Washoe County and to ensure that disposables are compostable in Washoe County. Since Reuse Wins for the environment and for businesses, Reusable Reno stands strongly in support of this ordinance.

If enacted it means that when you sit down to eat at a restaurant, you will be served only with reusables- yup, REAL plates, REAL cups, and REAL utensils. Nothing to dispose of at the end of the meal.

??When you get take-out coffee or cold drinks in cups, you will no longer get the disposable cup for free. It will cost 25 cents. We believe that making disposables cost money will incentivize customers to bring their own reusable cups, borrow a returnable reusable from the cafe, or sit down and drink the beverage onsite.??
